Special news is that Michael Sommer who is the current open class world champion has agreed to coach club members in the art of cross country flying (weekends only).

The current rate of $75.00 per hour up to a maximum of 4 hours (any time in excess of 4 hours is free) will apply.

Wanted

A glider to borrow, lease or hire for the upcoming season and maybe, further on down the track. I am a junior so money is a bit of an issue. The other factor is I am very keen on XC racing and competing but I can't find a glider that I can fly regularly to become better. I know there are a lot of gliders that are sitting in the hangars at Benalla not getting used which is a shame so this is why I have put the word out.

I am a competent glider pilot and I am also a commercial agricultural pilot by trade. Being a junior, I am young and keen so you know your glider would be polished and kept to the highest standard and your hangar and trailer will be kept spot on. I also have some gear I can bring to the cockpit: I have a PDA, GPS and I am in the process of buying a Flarm or logger. We have been living in Benalla for almost 2 years and will be relocating back to the UK at the end of November. We understand that a large contingent of people come out to Benalla for the gliding season and wonder if anyone would be interested in purchasing some very good quality secondhand furniture as we are unable to take it with us. We have all the basics ... queen bed, 3 piece suite, washing machine, TV, fridge plus kitchen equipment etc. ... (all the essentials for setting up a rented unit). Misplaced

Misplaced - 2 x 12" adjustable spanners and 1 x Oakley sunglasses when in Benalla completing my Form 2 in the clubman hangar. They are not in the aircraft, if anyone has found them could they please be returned to Jeremy Miller.

Glider Wanted

Looking to buy a share in a glider in Benalla.

Will consider all options, but would prefer glider with performance better than Std Cirrus.

This might be an ideal opportunity for one of our older members looking to retire gradually from active flying. I would be interested in acquiring your glider in stages, e.g. with four 25% payments over 3 years or three 33.3% payments over 2 years.
