Competitions 2009
by Robert Dorning
As members have been previously advised, the Club is hosting a number of competitions in December and January. However, launching for x-country flights will still be available before the launch of the competition. As competitions these days go mainly for assigned area tasks, which are flown in a limited number of hours in the afternoon, members wanting a launch should not be disadvantaged.
By the time you read this the Juniors Nationals, held from December 6 - 13, will be over. The Victorian State Gliding Championship is to be held over January 3 - 10. This will not be a large competition compared to the National Multi-Class Gliding Championships to be run over January 12 - 23.
This season will be last for a few years before GCV will be asked to hold another competition.
