Airflow February 2009 - Airspace Restrictions

Airspace Restrictions

by Paul Barber, Chairman/Instructors Panel

It has been brought to my attention that a number of violations of Airspace Restrictions have recently occurred.
When a pilot announces to the world that he is at 13000ft, and clearly breaking these restrictions, it does not do well for the club image.
Considering the amount of time spent by Graham Garlick, including many briefings on the subject, this is disappointing.
If you are unsure of the restrictions, check the board in the clubhouse.

On a more pleasant note, I am pleased to advise the following movements within the Instructors panel.

  • David Scott is now a Air Experience Instructor.
  • Both Roger Harrop and Lew Tankard upgraded to Level 1 Instructors.
  • Darcy Hogan upgraded to a Level 3 Instructor.

Well done guys.
