SPOT me over Winter
Use SPOT and you too can look this good!
Where is he? Where did I go? When will she be home?
These are questions that always come up over winter, and the answer is SPOT!
The GCV has spots available for hire over winter, including access to real time tracking. But what can it be used for?
- Go on a holiday and activate tracking
- Now you can see where you have been and when
- Combined with photo applications (Picasa for Windows, Linux & Mac, or iPhoto) you can see the location your photos were taken. It does this by matching times in your camera with times on the GPS log.
- Hiking, skiing, boating
- Track & photos as above
- Tell your loved ones you are OK and where you are
- Tell your loved ones you need help and where you are
- Tell the authorities you need emergency assistance and where you are.
The GCV uses SPOTs during the summer period, but are offering them for your use during winter. Now you can use a SPOT for fun or safety over winter for a fraction of the price of a new SPOT. And you'll be helping your club too.
Club SPOTs are available from the start of May until the end of September.
