Things to do in Benalla
When it gets hot, you can cool down at the Delatite Aquatic Centre. Here you will find a 25 metre indoor pool, a 50 metre outdoor pool and a rather impressive water slide. You can also swim in Lake Benalla.
If it is too cool for swimming, you can play a round of golf at the Benalla Golf Club, walk around Lake Benalla or play a couple of sets of tennis at the Benalla Tennis Courts.
Benalla Art Gallery
Benalla Art Gallery has an impressive collection of Australian art. Artists such as Nolan, Roberts, Streeton and Tucker are represented. The gallery also has an indigenous collection and a contemporary collection. The exhibitions are changed frequently, so make sure to visit the gallery more than once.
The gallery was built in 1972 and is situated in the Botanic Gardens beside Lake Benalla. The gallery has a licenced cafe and coffee shop.
