The Gliding Club of Victoria's 75th anniversary weekend was a huge success. Seventeen pilots completed their paddock landing checks in preparation for the coming soaring season. These checks were conducted in the Motor Faulke.

As you can see from the photos, Saturday was an absolutely magnificent, sunny day. Sure, nobody completed or even attempted a 500, but it was a great day for dusting the cobwebs off the glider and for getting current again. Many of the boys managed lazy, hour long local flights before airbraking down to let the next member have a go.

The highlights of the Gliding Club of Victoria's 75th anniversary dinner were Viv Drew's club history presentation and the spontaneous standing ovation given to Doug Robinson in recogition of his service to the sport of gliding over the past 40 years.

Some of the following photos are a bit blurry. Jon blames this on his camera. An unkind person might suggest that the blurriness was due to excessive alcohol consumption. That of course, would never happen at the GCV clubhouse, so it must have been the camera!
