We anticipate taking 2 Club gliders; IS28, and a Mosquito, and the Duo will also be coming.

Accomodation is available at; Alpine Inn Hotel at 0260 769 471 has Motel units and Backpackers accommodation. The Caravan Park at 0260 769 488 has Cabins, caravans, and campsites.

Mount Beauty Gliding Club will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on Melbourne Cup weekend 2005, with flying at Mt Beauty over the 4 days of the holiday weekend and with a dinner/birthday party on Saturday night the 4th of November. All GGC members are invited to come and help celebrate our birthday. Winch and aerotow launch will be available.

Starts at 6pm sharp.

Benalla will host the National Balloon Championship between 7-15 July 2007.

The Balloonists will be using the GCV Clubhouse for their base of operations and briefings.

Two balloon flights a day, launching just outside the club house, will make quite a spectical.

This yearly event gives us the opportunity to get together and celebrate the previous seasons achievements, have a good chat and declare plans for the coming season.

An annual pilgrimage to the Australian Alps for wave, ridge and thermal delights. Nestled under Mt Kosciusko, Khancoban offers real "get away for it" delights.

This year we're extending the normal 4 day trip to 8 days. More time for fun!

The GCV's AGM will be held in Benalla.

GCV Committee nominations will be sent to all members in September. Agenda, minutes from the last meeting and financial reports will be sent in October.

On the 5th July, John Millot shall be running a training course at the clubhouse,this course will show club members how to program club loggers,analyse their flights.This course will lead into requirements/skills for Official Observers.If interested give John a call at john_millott@hotmail.com

A theory course will be held at Benalla Saturday the 2nd August commencing 0900.This will be a power point presentation directed at Pilots with little or no experience of flying cross country.The course will be under the direction of Graham Garlick.

Lecture presented by Dr Caleb White, Alan Patching and Vern Rosenfelt.

This lecture, which is a practice session, is at RMIT Bundoora campus, Plenty road Bundoora, Building 251 (The cafeteria). There is plenty of parking at Bundoora.

Lecture will start at 7:35 pm and coffee and biscuits will be available at the end of the lecture.

Attendees will be asked to contribute a small donation - say $2 - towards the cost of the coffee and the venue.

Health issues for Gliding, including; Motion Sickness, Dehydration, Fatigue, Hypoxia, Gliding and Vision, Psychology.

For church security reasons, the doors will only be open for a limited time, starting at 7:15 pm and closing at 7:30. Latecomers may be able to get admission by phoning David Wilson on 0407 825 706, but don't count on it. You will miss the start of the lectures if you do. Note that car parking in the church car park is not available. Parking should be available in the evenings in the nearby streets.
