Parachute Seminar
10am at GCV Clubhouse Benalla Jo Chitty will conduct a 1 hour lecture on emergency parachutes Jo has been a parachute rigger for over 35 years and for the last 10 years he was the Director of Rigging for the Australian Parachute Federation. Jo currently operates a business called "Skywerx" which has designed and manufactures safety harnesses for use in rescue helicopters. He also builds various UAV recovery parachutes, powered parachutes and military equipment. There will be no cost to GCV for the lecture and this will be an excellent opportunity for members to have questions answered by an expert and dispel any myths or theories that they may have! Following Jo's lecture we will have several parachutes to be used as training aids and Vern of course will have the Escape Training Module which I'm sure will have a dramatic effect on safety in gliding. |
